Thanks to YOU we went out with a bang at the last foodPark market of the year on Friday! And raised a bit of money along the way for Save the Children's #ChristmasJumperDay campaign (£115 and counting; text TEAMFOODPARK to 70050 to add your £2 donation to the pot).
Thanks SO much to all of our lovely customers and traders for getting involved, donning festive jumpers and hats, and donating so generously from your lunch budgets and takings! We hope our small contribution helps make a difference: check out the amazing work funded by Save the Children HERE. We loved seeing the support we received from local media, too - thanks to Cambridge News, Cambridge Edition, and That's Cambridge TV for jumping in on the action!
The traders' festive specials were flying out the second hatches went up at 12, and went down a storm. The super special Buffalo Joe's festive fried chicken burger, complete with stuffing, bacon, cabbage, cranberry, and chicken wing gravy, was THE ultimate Christmas sandwich, with a side of Guerrilla Kitchen's sprouts for us! SPOT. ON. A feast to keep us going all winter, or at least until foodPark's back on the streets in 2017.
If you're looking ahead to your next street food fix already, never fear! foodPark will be back BIGGER and BETTER than ever with some exciting plans in the pipeline for the new year... Our lunch markets reopen week commencing 30 January, and we've got NEW traders to hit you with, potential new pitches to check out, as well as BRAND NEW venues coming up, and a whole load of foodPark NIGHT MARKET fun all summer long, as always. Look out for foodPark going INSIDE too, with some fantastic new pop-ups and events. Are you IN?? Don't forget to sign up to the foodPark newsletter to be first to hear about dates, details, and ticket announcements: SIGN ME UP!
We've had an awesome time feeding you all year and we're looking forward to doing the same (and more great street food stuff) again next year. Thanks to all our lovely loyal foodParkers eating with us week in, week out, come rain or shine... the foodPark collective and its hard-grafting, dedicated, super talented, small indie street food businesses would be nothing without YOU! Thanks, y'all, and Merry Christmas from all of us.
See you on the streets!
